Blackburn Rovers want to sign Chelsea’s Trevor Chalobah and Michael Hector on loan according to a report from the Daily Mirror.
For the first time in years, Blackburn are coming off the back of a season that was largely positive. They returned to the Sky Bet Championship at the first time of asking after finishing 2nd in Sky Bet League One this season and are nor preparing for life back in the second tier. Their budget is set to be tight but are looking to make the most of it by signing youngsters from top Premier League sides.
That’s why they are interested in signing both Chalobah and Hector on loan from Chelsea. Chalobah, who is the brother of Watford defender Nathaniel, is one of the most highly rated player in the Chelsea academy. He has already done some work with the England national side and was an unused substitute in their FA Cup victory over Manchester United. But he needs first team experience if he wants to improve as a player and Blackburn could be an idea situation.
And he may end up being joined by Hector. He is more experienced due to being aged 25-years-old and having come through the Reading academy before being signed by Chelsea in 2015. He has since been on loan at Frankfurt and Hull City since then and this would make it seem like he could be an ideal signing for Blackburn as they look to establish themselves in the second tier after their promotion.
