Leeds United, Leeds United could have deal agreed ‘in principle’ with manager

Leeds United could have deal agreed ‘in principle’ with manager

Fox Sports journalist Mauro Palacios has tweeted suggesting that Argentinian Marcelo Bielsa could have a deal agreed in principle with Leeds United and that this agreement would be announced just before the World Cup.

This news comes after it was reported last night that Bielsa would be taking this weekend to decide as to whether he wanted to take the vacant managerial position at Leeds United after a hectic week in which the West-Yorkshire club have been chasing his signature.

The 62-year-old is thought to be Leeds United’s first choice for the job and after a busy week which saw Paul Heckingbottom leave the club last Friday, it looks as if the Argentinian could be in line to take over at Elland Road.

Whilst Palacios’ tweet suggests that Bielsa could be on his way to West-Yorkshire quite shortly, it’s still yet to be confirmed from a number of other media outlets who’ve reported heavily on the Argentinian’s prospective move to Leeds United so we will find out in the coming hours as to whether it’s a definite move that will happen but the initial signs appear to be that Leeds United could well have got their man.

Palacios’ tweet will most likely have sent the Leeds United hashtag into pandemonium and in the coming hours, we’ll see if any more news emerges on Bielsa and Leeds.
