Leeds United give potential new manager 48 hours to decide on his future

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United could have Marcelo Bielsa as their new manager as early as the start of next week, with the Argentinian taking the next 48 hours to decide on whether he wants to take the job or not.

This news comes after the Yorkshire Evening Post reported that the West-Yorkshire club are currently locked in advanced talks with the Argentinian and a deal has been put on the table. Bielsa reportedly is taking the weekend to decide over whether he wants the vacant position aft er looking at everything the West Yorkshire club has to offer – which is believed to be slightly longer than Leeds United wished in their search to fill the managerial hotseat at Elland Road.

The Argentinian is believed to have discussed a deal with the club and has been evaluating the strengths, the weaknesses and the improvements he can make to the Championship outfit, in a quest to take them into the Premier League.

As part of this deal, Bielsa has also been discussing what transfers he would like to bring into the club and supposedly has looked at targets that the club have had in place. This is in the event that he takes over at the helm, he would be prepared to jump straight into the job at Elland Road.

Bielsa supposedly wants transfers to be all done and dusted before Leeds United report back at Thorp Arch for pre-season. This is so that Bielsa can begin to implement has attacking philosophy and instil it amongst Leeds United’s current and new players.
