Leeds United Monday blues or start of El Loco adventure? Bielsa in 48 hour review of offer – Fan View

This could well be one of the biggest weekends in the history of Leeds United and we don’t even have a game. Marcelo Bielsa is set to review everything that Leeds have offered and make a decision on whether his future lies at Elland Road.

I’m nervous about what next week will bring for Leeds United, it’s hard not to be excited by the thought of a new head coach with the reputation of Marcelo Bielsa but being a Leeds United fan I fear the worst.

Bielsa would become one of the highest paid coaches in the history of the football club if he took up the offer from Leeds United and he would become the most high-profile coach in the history of the club. The likes of Don Revie did wonders for the football club but in terms of the appointment itself, and size of that appointment it would be the biggest.

Will he or won’t he? The fact it has gone on this long could be good or bad, why hasn’t he signed? The other way to look at it, why hasn’t he walked away?

Leeds fans often dare to dream every summer and if this does come off I can tell you know the expectation would go through the roof. The fact the squad isn’t good enough has been totally forgotten about because if Bielsa comes in Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta will be as much under pressure from Bielsa as they will be from the Leeds fans to bring in some quality because he won’t hang around if they don’t stick to their promises.

With the report tonight that Bielsa will make a decision early next week it makes you wonder what will happen come Monday, a decision will probably be made and although it may not be official, it will be leaked and we will know. If it carries on until Tuesday it will be very surprising but you never know. Will Leeds get their man? Monday seems very, very far away all of a sudden.
