According to NY Times journalist Rory Smith, Leeds United are thought to already be running potential signings by Marcelo Bielsa – with the hope that the Argentinian will take the managerial job at Elland Road.
Leeds are apparently already running potential new signings past Marcelo Bielsa.

This news comes during a day in which the certainty most fans had around Bielsa taking the job at Elland Road has been questioned. There has been some relatively substantial movement in the betting markets with Steve Bruce having his odds slashed down to 5/1 to take on the job at Elland Road.
If this information from Smith is correct, it shows that Leeds United are not simply ambitious but are also incredibly keen to get Bielsa into West Yorkshire as quickly as possible. The Argentinian was thought to be away at a conference in Mexico during the last week whilst discussions have been ongoing about his future and whether he can agree on a deal that takes him to West Yorkshire.
Given the fact that Leeds are thought to be running signings by Bielsa, it appears to be the case that they are closing in on a deal with the Argentine. We’ll find out over the next week as to if any clear progress can be made with contract discussions between Bielsa and Leeds – but with whispers that Steve Bruce could be on his way to Elland Road, a period of real uncertainty beckons for Leeds United fans over this next week.
