It has been no secret that a number of Sky Bet Championship clubs have been chasing Peterborough United duo Marcus Maddison and Jack Marriott for a number of months now.
The pair were standout players for Posh this season, and have attracted the attention of clubs such as Leeds United and Nottingham Forest.
Marriott scored 27 goals in the league, which left him as the top scorer and saw him win the Sky Bet League One Golden Boot.
Maddison has been linked with clubs such as Leeds for a number of seasons now, and boasting the best assist record in the whole of England over the last three seasons, he looks destined to leave Peterborough United this summer.
Supporters of Leeds and Nottingham Forest have received a boost in their hopes of signing Maddison and Marriott, after Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony tweeted confirmation that the club had accepted a seven figure bid for one of the players.
So @theposhofficial have accepted a SEVEN figure transfer fee for one of our players today. The player has been given permission to talk terms etc. Thats all for today 🙂

He did not disclose which player it was, nor did he say which club had placed the bid, but it seems like one of the two is on their way out of the club in the very near future.
This news comes just hours after Peterborough United completed the signing of Stevenage striker Matt Godden.
Many Posh fans felt that Godden had been signed as a replacement for star striker Jack Marriott, and this latest revelation from MacAnthony could support those beliefs.
For now, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that it is their club who have had the bid accepted.
