Rotherham United keen on double deal for Norwich City duo

Rotherham United are keen on loaning Norwich City duo Sean Raggett and Ben Godfrey, according to the Yorkshire Post.

The Millers will be playing in the Championship next season after their promotion from League One under Paul Warne. They are now eager to bolster their squad in preparation for the next campaign.

Sean Raggett has only played once for Norwich City and could be loaned out for more first-team experience next season. He joined the Canaries last summer from Lincoln City but was loaned back out to the Imps until January.

The 24-year-old defender started his career at Gillingham but left to join Dover Athletic in 2010. Raggett played over 100 games for them before he moved to Lincoln City in 2016. He helped Lincoln win the National League title and get to the FA Cup quarter-final in his first season.

Rotherham want to bring another defender in over the summer and Raggett would be a good option for them.

They are also interested in bringing Ben Godfrey in on loan from Norwich as well. He spent last season on loan at League One side Shrewsbury Town and played 51 games for them for all competitions. He joined Norwich in 2016 from York City and is being tipped for a big future at Carrow Road.

The potential double loan signings of Sean Raggett and Ben Godfrey would be a shrewd piece of business by Rotherham United and would add more depth to their squad.
