Grujic, Cardiff City want to sign Liverpool winger

Cardiff City want to sign Liverpool winger

Cardiff City want to sign Marko Grujic on loan from Liverpool according to a report from The Mirror.

The 22-year-old winger signed for Liverpool in 2016 from Red Star Belgrade and has made a total of eight appearances for them. However despite being labeled as someone who could be a first teamer for them, it appears that their head coach Jurgen Klopp doesn’t think he is ready just yet as they are planning to send him out on loan for next season.

This has alerted Cardiff who are now going to make a move to sign him on loan. They have had him on a temporary deal before as he spent the second half of the season with them this season. He would make 12 appearances and score one goal as the Bluebirds got promoted to the Premier League. And even with the jump in league, they believe that Grujic will continue to be a key player for them and want him back in South Wales.

This move may take a while as Grujic will be heading to the World Cup in Russia with Serbia but it will be one that works for both parties. Liverpool will have one of their prospects playing in the Premier League which can only help in their development while Cardiff will be able to keep one of the players who got them promoted which should assist in their attempt to stay in the top tier. And with this move Grujic would get regular first team football instead of being stuck in the U23s.
