Swansea City have apparently managed to reach a deal that takes their main managerial target, Graham Potter from Östersunds to the Liberty Stadium according to Guardian and Observer journalist, Stuart James.
Graham Potter to Swansea is all but done. Negotiations taken a while – Östersund want their £ & it’s been tricky because several staff are involved – but Potter’s nailed on to be confirmed next week. Don’t fret over delay; be naive to think Potter isn’t already targeting players.

The deal is set to be confirmed next week. Supposedly, the deal came in with several complications over the transfer with several staff being invovled – but the deal seems to be effectively completed now and we will find out in the coming days if the 42-year-old has been appointed as manager of Swansea City.
Potter managed to take Östersunds into the Europa League and has been in charge of the Swedish club for 7 years. He managed to take them right up into the Swedish top-tier before taking them into Europe – highlight his managerial capabilities and the impressive fact that in his first job in management, he took a lower league club through the divisions and into Europe.
Potter will have big boots to fill after Carlos Carvalhal’s departure from the Liberty Stadium, given that the Portuguese manager very nearly kept the club in the top-flight of English Football. The 42-year-old will be looking to make his mark on the Championship though and if he was to offer Swansea City a similar taste of success that he did with Östersunds, he will become a fans favorite in South Wales very quickly.
