Heckingbottom sacked: Leeds fans react

As statement revealed on the official Leeds United club website this afternoon has confirmed that Paul Heckingbottom is no longer their manager. He departs after four months in charge, with the club now looking for yet another leader to try and steady the Elland Road ship.

Whilst this news may surprise those outside of Leeds, given how the club tend to go through plenty of managers, but those around the City will not be too shocked to hear of this. Heckingbottom struggled to make an impact during his tenure. He didn’t have a transfer window however, so there is certainly arguments for and against this move by the football club.

The question is, how do the people that really matter view this? That is the faithful Leeds United supporters of course. We have looked to the often weird and whacky world of social media, specifically Twitter, to check out how this news has gone down. We shall try to give a fair reflection of what has been portrayed online, in the minutes after the club broke the news at 1pm on June 1st.

Scroll down and take a look for yourself, and see the reaction of the latest managerial change at Elland Road. Fans shall also be giving their views and who the likely successor to the former Barnsley boss will be. Many names have been linked for a while, which is perhaps another clue that Heckingbottom was set to be moved on by Leeds.
