Recently promoted Cardiff City have been made clear favourites to sign Watford striker Andre Gray, according to odds given out by bookmakers Bet Victor.
The Bluebirds are looking to strengthen their squad after they achieved promotion back to the Premier League on the final day of the season. A 0-0 draw at home to Reading was enough to see the Welsh side promoted, and manager Neil Warnock has now started his work to prepare his squad for the top flight.
One player they seem to have a big interest in is Andre Gray, who has scored a total of 14 Premier League goals in his 63 appearances. As well as these goals, he has also assisted five for his team mates.
The goals are spread across two teams, after Gray decided to leave Burnley last summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £18 million.
He joined Watford, and despite making 31 appearances in all competitions for the Hornets, 15 of these were cameo appearances from the bench, and he struggled to make any real impact on the first team.
Instead, club captain Troy Deeney was the first choice striker, which has left Andre Gray contemplating his future as he searches for a club capable of giving him first team football.
And Cardiff City are the clear favourites, and have been given odds of evens to secure Gray’s signature this summer.
The 26-year-old made his name in Non League during his time at Luton Town, with his excellent goal scoring record earning him his move to Sky Bet Championship side Brentford.
