7. Aidy Boothroyd (40/1)
Boothroyd is a Bradford lad, born in Baildon and whilst it would be quite sentimental for him to return to his childhood city, a return appears distinctly unlikely.
Boothroyd has an impressive managerial CV which has seen him have success in all four decisions. His first job was with Watford, who he successfully led into the Premier League, took to the semi-finals of the FA Cup and managed a side with some serious talent including the likes of Ashley Young.
Since leaving Watford, Boothroyd dropped deeper into the Football League, having a spell at Colchester United and Coventry City as manager before his final job in the Football League with Northampton Town. Boothroyd’s tenure with Northampton Town came to an end months after they lost in the Play-Off Final to the Bantams.
Since leaving the Cobblers, he’s managed to do a great job as England U21’s manager and is unlikely to leave the position to take up the managerial position at Valley Parade but with an impressive CV and ties to the City, he would be an attractive prospect for the owners.
