Brandao
After two up-and-down seasons with high-flying French side Saint-Etienne, Brandao has recently been discussing a move to Hillsborough. The Brazilian-born Frenchman hasn’t been prolific at Les Verts but did score 11 in 2012/13 as the club made the Champions League and despite only scoring five last season, his commanding presence up-front helped bring in some of their great attacking midfielders. He’s excellent in the air and whilst he hasn’t got any pace left he does hold the ball up very well which could be perfect for Wednesday’s attacking midfielders such as Chris Maguire and Michael Antonio. Even at 34 and whilst he shouldn’t be the only striking reinforcement, he’ll add a lot of valuable experience along with his striking prowess.
