Fulham star hints at Craven Cottage stay next season

Ryan Fredericks has hinted that he will stay at Fulham next season, as per a report by Football.London.

The defender has been linked with various Premier League clubs like West Ham United and Crystal Palace over recent months with his contract at Fulham expiring in June. However, after their promotion to the Premier League it looks like he will be staying at Craven Cottage next season.

Fredericks is yet to sign a new deal yet but said “It’s up to the people behind the scenes but I’m sure everyone will want to stay and play at the highest level with Fulham”. Him signing a new deal will be a huge boost for Fulham going into the top flight.

He has been a huge player for Slavisa Jokanovic’s side for the past two seasons and has helped get them into the Play-Offs for two consecutive seasons. Fredericks plays a key role in the way Fulham play by acting as an attacking full-back and likes to get forward.

Fulham will be back in the Premier League next season after a five year absence after they beat Aston Villa 1-0 in the Play-Off final on Saturday. A first-half goal from Tom Cairney, who is the captain of Fulham, was enough to earn Jokanovic’s side a famous promotion.

Ryan Fredericks, who has also previously played for Tottenham Hotspur and Bristol City, could be Fulham’s first piece of transfer business with it looking like he will be signing a new deal.
