Wolves agree £10 million deal for Porto star

Wolves have agreed a £10 million fee with Porto for defender Willy Boly, according to the Daily Mail.

The 27-year-old has been impressive for Wolves this season and they have now triggered a clause in his loan contract to ensure he signs for them permanently this summer.

Boly has been a key player for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side who won the Championship title. Their fans will be happy to see that he will be joining them on a £10 million deal from Porto. Wolves are also now being linked on another raid on Porto for Yacine Brahimi.

Boly started his career at Auxerre and went onto play over 100 games for them. He was then signed in September 2014 by Portuguese side Braga. However, he spent his first season there playing for their B team in  the Segunda Liga.

He then broke into Braga’s first-team in the 2015/16 season and after an impressive campaign he was snapped up by Porto in August 2016. He played just 7 games for Porto last season and was loaned out to Wolves for this campaign but has turned out to be a huge signing for the Midlands club.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been linked with some big signings as they prepare for life in the Premier League. The signing of Willy Boly will certainly be a popular one amongst their fans and will bolster their defensive options.
