Five players Gary Rowett could sign for Stoke City

Gary Rowett has left Derby County to be appointed manager of Stoke City. Here are five players he could sign for the Potters this summer-

Matej Vydra, Derby County- The 26-year-old striker could be sold by Derby this summer as they look to balance their books. He scored 21 goals in the Championship for the Rams in this campaign under Rowett and could be an option for Stoke as they need a striker to fire the goals to get them back to the Premier League.

Kasey Palmer, Chelsea- He could be allowed to leave Chelsea on loan again this summer and Rowett could swoop for the highly-rated midfielder. The 21-year-old spent the latter part of this season on loan at Derby under Rowett and was impressive the Rams. He also had a loan stint at Huddersfield Town and helped them gain promotion in 2017.

Jacques Maghoma, Birmingham City- If Stoke want to sign Championship experience then Maghoma would be ideal. Rowett managed the winger at both Burton Albion and Birmingham City. The experienced winger would also offer Stoke more attacking options.

Che Adams, Birmingham City- The highly-rated striker is another option for Rowett. Adams has a bright future ahead of him and would be a good long-term option for Stoke. He has played for Birmingham since 2016 and has scored 16 goals for them in 75 games, having previously played for Ilkeston Town and Sheffield United.

Richard Keogh, Derby County- He has played for the Rams since 2012 and is another option for Rowett at Stoke. Keogh, who has 18 caps for the Republic of Ireland, is vastly experienced at Championship level and would be a decent signing for the Potters to bolster their defence.
