Former League One boss new favourite for Bradford City job

Former Peterborough United manager Grant McCann is the new favourite to take over at Bradford City, according to the odds given by Bookmakers Bet Victor.

The change in odds come just days after Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony confirmed he had spoken to the former Posh boss, and stated that he was weighing up job offers from three different clubs.

One of them is believed to be Bradford City, who have been without a manager since Simon Grayson left the club a matter of weeks ago.

Grayson had only been in charge since February following the departure of Stuart McCall, but decided that he did not want to take the club any further.

Grant McCann has been out of a job since February when he was let go by Peterborough United, much to the bemusement of many Posh supporters.

The former Northern Ireland international was a rookie manager when he took charge of the Cambridgeshire club, but Posh fans were delighted with his appointment.

McCann had been assistant at London Road to both Graham Westley and Dave Robertson before being given the chance to manage the club himself.

Prior to his managerial career, McCann had become a fan favourite at Peterborough United, captaining the Posh to the Sky Bet Championship via the third tier Play-Offs back in 2011.

When he was sacked by Peterborough United, Posh were eighth, and well in the run-in for the Play-Offs, and his departure was not taken too well by Peterborough fans.

Mark Warburton, Steve Cotterill and Martin Drury are a few other names who have been linked with the job at Valley Parade.
