Reading forward targeted by League One side

Reading’s Danny Loader is a target for Wycombe Wanderers, according to the Reading Chronicle.

The Chairboys will be playing in the third tier next season following their promotion from League Two. Their manager, Gareth Ainsworth, is keen to bolster his squad ahead of the next campaign and sees Loader as an ideal signing.

The 17-year-old forward is highly-rated by Reading but could be allowed to leave on loan next season to gain some first-team experience. Ainsworth is believed to be a big fan of Loader.

Loader played for Wycombe as a youngster but was snapped up by the Royals in 2012. He has risen through the youth ranks at the Madejski Stadium and made his debut aged 16 in August in a League Cup tie against Millwall.

Loader, who was born in Reading, has been a key player for their Under-23’s this season and his form has been recognised by the England set-up. He has represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level so far in his career.

It will be interesting to see if Reading will loan him out next season. Wycombe is an ideal club for him to go to as he has played for them before and in terms on location it is not far from Reading. It would be a great opportunity for Danny Loader to gain some playing time at a decent level.
