Wolves release 12 players ahead of Premier League campaign

Wolves have released 12 players in preparation for their Premier League campaign next season, as per a report by Birmingham Live.

Youngsters Jordan Allan, Dan Armstrong, Anthony Breslin, Nicu Carnat, Ross Finnie, Jon Flatt, Conor Levingston, Tomas Nogueira, Hakeem Odoffin, Adam Osbourne, Ryan Rainey and Jose Xavier have all been released by the Midlands club.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side won the Championship title this season and have let go of 12 of their youngsters as they look to the future. They have offered new deals to Jordan Graham and Sylvain Deslandes.

Jon Flatt is the most senior player to be released by Wolves. The 23-year-old rose through the youth ranks at Molineux after joining them at the age of 8. He signed his first professional contract in 2014 but he has never played a first-team game for them. However, Flatt has been on the bench on numerous occasions for Wolves.

He spent the latter part of this season on loan at Kidderminster Harriers in the National League North. Despite never playing for Wolves, Flatt has gained first-team experience during various loan spells away from Molinuex.

The shot stopper has had stints at Wrexham, Chesterfield, Cheltenham Town, Barrow and most recently Kidderminster. His best achievement so far in his career was winning the National League title with Cheltenham in the 2015/16 season.

Flatt, along with 11 other Wolves players, will now become free agents and will have to find new permanent homes.
