Leeds and Aston Villa target rejects Russia move

Hull City player Abel Hernandez has rejected the chance to move to Russia.

According to Sports Mole’s website, CSKA Moscow made an approach to bring Hernandez to the club and he turned the club down, which means that Aston Villa, Leeds and newly-promoted Wolves can all still sign him.

The Hull player has been linked with a move away from the club since the end of the 2017/18 season and has several clubs from the Championship all prepared to offer him deals. Now, the striker’s agent has claimed that he spoke to CSKA Moscow about a potential move to Russia but didn’t like the wage on offer and so the 27-year old rejected the move.

Hernandez’s current Hull deal is set to expire and with the player not planning on penning a new deal at the KCOM Stadium, he’s on the lookout for a new club.

Leeds, Aston Villa and Wolves are all plotting to offer him the chance to join them and according to the player’s agent he is keen to agree to terms with another club in the Championship or Premier League.

Before Hernandez played for Hull, he played his football for Palermo in Italy and played over 100 games for the club.

The 27-year old then made the move to Hull and has impressed many with his showings in England, playing in 110 games for the Tigers, bagging himself 39 goals and notching 10 assists for the Championship club.

With the player’s ability to score goals in England, he’s caught the eye of Villa, Leeds and Wolves who are all chasing the player in a bid to try and sign him this transfer window.
