Bristol City and Leeds enter race for Liverpool youngster

Bristol City and Leeds are both considering moves for Yan Dhanda.

The 19-year old has also been linked with a move to Swansea City, who themselves are a Championship club from the 2017/18 season.

Dhanda as a player can feature as either a winger or in an attacking midfield role and according to the Bristol Post the youngster could be on his way to one of those three clubs.

This isn’t the first time that City have been linked with a move for the 19-year old, as the club were interested in a move for the winger in last season’s summer transfer window.

Club boss Lee Johnson could once again make a move for Dhanda but this time he’ll face competition for him from Leeds and Swansea.

However, Jurgen Klopp is believed to be keen to keep hold of the talent, as he is big fan of the player. He impressed with his performances for the Liverpool U23 side and they are eager to tie him to a new deal.

But, the club may be resigned to letting him go to a Championship side. Dhanda is believed to want more gametime and he could have to leave to get that.

In addition, the youngster’s current deal expires this summer, meaning if he doesn’t decide to pen a new deal at the club then he could leave for a small compensation fee.

If Jurgen Klopp does get Dhanda to agree a new deal at Liverpool, then he could instead decide to loan him out. However, Leeds, Bristol City and Swansea are all keen to bring him to their respective club on a permanent basis.
