Peterborough United keeping tabs on Scottish Championship star

Peterborough United have joined the race for Dundee United midfielder Scott Fraser, according to the Evening Telegraph.

The 23-year-old is being linked with a move to the Football League and Burton Albion and Blackpool have been credited with an interest.

Peterborough United are the latest side to be linked with Fraser. The Posh are set for a summer of transition with many comings and goings expected as Steve Evans looks to put his own stamp on his newly inherited squad.

Fraser has been a key player for Dundee United this season in the Scottish Championship but is now likely to leave them this summer after they failed to get promoted to the Scottish Premier League.

He joined Dundee United at the age of 10 and rose through the youth ranks there. He was loaned out to Airdrieonians for the 2014/15 season to gain first-team experience and played 30 games for them in the Scottish League One, scoring 5 goals.

Fraser then broke into the Dundee United first-team in the 2015/16 season but could not prevent them from slipping into the second tier. However, since they were relegated he has been one of the first names on their team sheet.

Blackpool, Burton Albion and Peterborough United are now set to battle it out for him over the coming months. He is still only 23 and could have a big future ahead of him in the English Football League.
