Middlesbrough manager Tony Pulis has encouraged fans to ensure that their home leg of the Sky Bet Championship Semi Final with Aston Villa is a sell out, according to Sky Sports.

Boro host Villa tomorrow (May 11) in the first leg of the Play-Off Semi final, after Patrick Bamford’s late goal at Ipswich Town on the final day secured a fifth place finish.

Many teams favour having home advantage in the second leg, but Tony Pulis believes that if the Riverside is rocking, his players will deliver.

As quoted by Sky Sports, he said: “We still have a couple of thousand tickets to sell. Villahave picked up on their allocation. We need the Riverside to be rocking tomorrow.”

“We need everybody to turn up, we need every seat to be sold, to really make it a tremendous atmosphere. We have to give it our best shot. It’s over two games, not one. We have got to understand that.”

This season’s Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs contain four top quality teams, and it is difficult to call between them. Fulham head into them as favourites, having narrowly missed out on automatic promotion on the final day.

Despite being underdogs, Tony Pulis says that his side are heading into the Play-Offs in a positive frame of mind.

“We have to be positive, the four teams in the play-offs will be. I think the important thing is, we stay focused and understand the challenge ahead and the players respond in the right manner,” he said.

“That is to play the way we have been playing, play with no inhibitions and give it our best shot. We don’t want to come off the park feeling as though you have left anything behind, that is very important.”
