Wolves face Premier League competition for Paris Saint Germain youngster

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing young defender Moussa Sissako from French footballing giants Paris Saint Germain, but they face competition from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.

Not only are the Seagulls interested in signing the youngster, but PSG have also reported offered the 17-year-old his first professional contract.

Goal reports that Sissako is currently debating whether or not to accept a deal to stay at the Champions League side, or move to England in the hope of earning some more minutes on the pitch.

Moussa Sissako was born in Clichy in France, but thanks to his parents, he is eligible for both France and Mali. He has previously represented the Malian sides at youth level.

Sissako is highly rated in France, and PSG have shown their desire to keep hold of him by offering a contract, but a move elsewhere is likely to be more beneficial for his career, as there are already three defenders ahead of him at the Parc des Princes, including Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Josh Kimpembe.

Wherever he goes, Sissako will be considered as one for the future, and he is unlikely to be thrown straight into anyone’s first team.

Wolves are currently looking to complete a permanent deal for Willy Boly, who has spent the season on loan at the club from Portuguese top flight side FC Porto.

The Black Country club are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the Premier League, but despite links with a number of top quality players, boss Nuno Santo is looking to keep a lot of last season’s squad together.
