Burton Albion are keen on signing Dundee United midfielder Scott Fraser, according to the Burton Mail.
The Brewers were relegated to League One on Sunday and are looking to get going with transfers already in preparation for next season.
Nigel Clough is still expected to be in charge at the Pirelli Stadium in the next campaign as he looks to guide them back to the Championship at the first time of asking.
Scott Fraser is a potential target but Burton will have to face competition from Blackpool for his signature over the coning months. The Scottish midfielder has been in impressive form for Dundee United this season in the Scottish Championship and could be rewarded with a move to the English Football League.
The 23-year-old joined Dundee United at the age of 10 and progressed through the youth ranks of his local side. He made his debut for them in May 2014 against Celtic. They then sent him on loan to Scottish League One side Airdrieonians for the 2014/15. Fraser played 30 games for them and scored 5 goals as he gained first-team experience.
He then broke into Dundee United’s team on his return there but could not prevent them from getting relegated from the Scottish Premier League in 2016. However, since their relegation he has been a regular in their starting eleven every week in the Championship.
A move to either Burton Albion or Blackpool could be on the cards in the summer so he is a name to watch out for in the coming weeks.
