Top 20 Managers of the EFL – 16th: Nathan Jones (Luton Town)

Luton Town head coach Nathan Jones has been voted by you as the 16th best manager in the EFL.

Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Jones is the 16th best manager in the Football League. This is his first time on the Top 20 Managers of the EFL list.

It is often tougher to at least meet your expectations rather than exceed them. That was the challenge for Jones this season as after a few years of near misses, they were now expecting for the Hatters to not only challenge for promotion but to get it. But despite all the pressure on his shoulders, Jones succeeded as his side never made getting promoted look in doubt.

If you ever looked at the table for Sky Bet League Two, you would never have to look down for very long to find Luton. They were always at the top or near by and they refused to budge from the lofty positions. While there was some disappointment at Kenilworth Road when they ended up losing the League Two title to Accrington, I’m sure we’ll get to them eventually, 2nd place and automatic promotion was enough for there to be parties on the streets of Luton.

Next year Luton will be in Sky Bet League One and they will be hoping to get a respectful position upon their return to the third tier.
