Wigan Athletic have won the League One title after their 1-0 away win at Doncaster Rovers.

Their promotion was confirmed two weeks ago after a win away to Fleetwood Town but the North-West side have now gone up in style after winning the title today.

A goal from their top scorer, Will Grigg, in the 75 minute was enough for Wigan to beat Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The Latics have had a great season under Paul Cook and have earned an immediate return to the Championship. This is their second League One title in three seasons, after they also won the third tier in 2016.

Cook, who has previously managed Accrington Stanley, Chesterfield and Portsmouth, has done an outstanding job at the DW Stadium.

They will be hoping to do better in the Championship this time around after suffering relegation last season. Wigan have made some shrewd signings this season, such as Christian Walton, Gavin Massey and Cheyenne Dunkley.

The Latics will no doubt celebrate their title win tonight and will prepare over the summer for another crack at the Championship in the next campaign.

Here is how their fans reacted on Twitter to their 1-0 win away at Doncaster Rovers this afternoon-
