Exeter City boss Tisdale the current favourite for MK Dons vacancy

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale is the current odds-on favourite to be appointed into the managerial vacancy at relegated Sky Bet League One club MK Dons according to the latest odds from English Football League sponsors Sky Bet.

The 45-year-old will become the longest serving manager in the English Football League should he remain at St James Park this summer.

Despite operating on a tight budget, Tisdale has again guided The Grecians to a play-off place in Sky Bet League Two this season and according to the latest odds from English Football League sponsors Sky Bet, the long-serving boss is the 5/6 odds-on favourite to fill the managerial vacancy at MK Dons.

The Dons are searching for a new manager after sacking former boss Dan Micciche last month as the club slipped back into the fourth tier of English football. MK Dons were one of the favourites for promotion when the season kicked-off back in August but now need to find a new manager capable of plotting an immediate return to Sky Bet League One.

Exeter City manager Tisdale has been with the club since summer 2006 after impressing in a similar role at non-league club Team Bath. The Valetta-born boss has guided the Devon outfit to two promotions during his time at St James Park while he has won 38.4% of his matches in charge.

Should Tisdale again win promotion with Exeter City this term, he would surely look to remain with the club to oversee a new challenge in the third tier.
