Yesterday is a day that is bound to live long in the memory of Leeds United’s Spanish midfielder Pablo Hernandez.
Hernandez not only picked up two awards at Leeds’ end of season awards night, but his wife also gave birth to a baby boy.
Pablo Hernandez won Players’ player of the year, and player of the year, as voted for by the fans.
He really is a fan favourite at the club, and the news that broke a matter of weeks ago saying that he had signed a new contract at the club was met with absolute jubilation from the fans.
The Spaniard is not available for Leeds’ final game of the season this weekend, as they host Queens Park Rangers, but Whites supporters will be looking forward to seeing him back in action at Elland Road next season.
Following the announcement that he had won two awards and his wife had a baby in the same night, Leeds United fans were quick to send him good wishes on Twitter.
