Wolves face competition from Champions League finalists for Inter Milan striker

According to the Birmingham Mail, Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the market for Inter Milan striker Andrea Pinamonti, but face stiff competition from Champions League finalists Liverpool.

Pinamonti is just 18, but is regarded as one of the best prospects in European football thanks to his impressive goal scoring return at youth level for the Italian giants.

It’s fair to say that the youngster is prolific, and with a record better than a goal every other game, it is easy to see why a number of clubs around Europe are interested in securing his services.

According to the Birmingham Mail, the Italian front man could be available for just shy of £2million, which is an absolute bargain when you consider what you’re getting.

Despite being a big prospect for the future, Inter Milan are believed to be looking to sell him, as he has struggled to get in the team ahead of Mauro Icardi, who interestingly, Pinamonti described as his role model.

The 18-year-old is 6ft4, which is extremely tall for his age, but this does not limit him in his movement like you may imagine.

Dan Davis of outsideoftheboot.com created a factfile on the young Italian striker, and he was a big admirer of the way he plays.

He wrote that whilst his height allows him to have “exceptional ability in the air,” he possesses quick movement in offensive positions, which make him a very difficult player to mark.

It seems that Wolves could be looking at getting a bargain here, but they do face competition from a number of clubs all around Europe.
