West Brom’s three man shortlist- Who is on it?

West Brom, who are looking set for a relegation to the Championship, have a three man shortlist for their vacant managerial role, according to Sky Sports.

It could be the case that as part of any deal that Darren Moore is kept on the coaching staff with the Baggies for next season. Here are the three most likely managers on West Brom’s shortlist-

Dean Smith, Brentford- The Baggies have been linked with a move for the Brentford boss. Even though the Bees have missed out on the Play-Offs this season, Smith has his side playing attractive and attacking football and this is said to be appealing to West Brom.

Lee Johnson, Bristol City- He is another who the Baggies are said to be showing an interest in. His Robins side were competing at the top end of the Championship earlier this season but have slipped down the league table in recent months. He has still done a decent job overall at Bristol City and is still young so would be a good long-term option for West Brom.

Michael Appleton- The current Leicester City assistant manager is another being linked with a move to the Hawthorns. He has worked for the Baggies before and could move back there this summer. Appleton’s most recent managerial job was with League One side Oxford United. He has also previously managed Blackpool, Blackburn Rovers and Portsmouth in the past.
