Nottingham Forest could raid Hull City with double signing

Nottingham Forest could potentially sign Hull City’s Michael Dawson and Max Clark in the summer.

Michael Dawson has been linked with a move back to the City Ground, as per a report by the Nottingham Post. The 34-year-old was a target for the Reds in January and a late move for him to Forest on deadline day collapsed. However, with his contract expiring in the summer, it is likely that Dawson will join them on a free transfer.

Nottingham Forest are now also being linked with a move for Hull’s left-back Max Clark. The 22-year-old has broken into the Tigers’ first-team this season after an impressive loan spell at Cambridge United in the last campaign. He is another who is out of contract in June and could leave them on a free transfer.

Forest are expected to be busy in the summer as Aitor Karana aims to put his own stamp on his newly inherited squad. The possible double signing of Michael Dawson and Max Clark would certainly bolster their backline as they look to improve next season in the Championship. It is set to be some exciting months ahead for the Reds.

However, it is worrying times for Hull City with a number of their key players out of contract in the summer. As well as Dawson and Clark, first-team regulars such as Allan McGregor, Abel Hernandez and David Meyler are all set to become free agents at the end of the campaign.
