Wolves target move for defender from Midlands rivals

Wolves are interested in a summer move for West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Baggies are looking likely to be relegated from the Premier League despite a recent upturn in form under Darren Moore. They therefore may look to offload some key players to slash their wage bill.

Craig Dawson is one who has impressed for West Brom in what has been a poor season. The 27-year-old, who can play at right-back or centre-back, will have a lot of suitors in the summer.

Championship champions Wolves are one club being linked. They are looking at potential signings for the summer to help prepare for next season in the top flight.

There is no doubt that Wolves will have money to spend and their manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, is believed to want to sign some players who have Premier League experience to bolster his squad.

Burnley are another side interested in Dawson. The Clarets have had a great season in the top flight under Sean Dyche and see Dawson as an ideal signing for them in the summer. West Ham are the final Premier League club credited with an interest. The Hammers have had a poor campaign and may see Dawson as one who can shore up their backline.

It will be interesting to see where Craig Dawson ends up in the summer. He would certainly be a good signing for Wolves.
