Stoke City are interested in Wolves winger Ben Marshall, according to The Sun.
The Potters are looking set for a return to the Championship next season after ten years in the Premier League. Their manager, Paul Lambert, may already be plotting potential targets to prepare for a promotion push.
Lambert is being linked with a move for Wolves midfielder Ben Marshall, who is currently on loan at Millwall. He managed the 27-year-old at both Blackburn Rovers and Wolves and could now bring him to the Brittania Stadium in the summer.
Marshall will be familiar to Stoke fans. He signed for them in 2009 after coming up through the Crewe Alexandra academy. However, he never broke into the first-team and was loaned out to Northampton Town, Carlisle United and Sheffield Wednesday before he was eventually sold in 2012 to Leicester City.
Marshall has impressed on loan at Millwall this season. He joined the Lions in January after falling down the pecking order at Wolves and has been a key player for Neil Harris’ side since. The London club will be keen on signing him on a permanent basis in the summer but will face competition from Stoke.
Wolves are being linked with a move for Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen so it is a possibility that they could use Marshall in that deal.
Ben Marshall has bags of experience in the Championship and would be a shrewd signing by Stoke City in the summer.
