Leicester City are interested in a move for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, as per a report by the Birmingham Mail.
The 2016 Premier League champions are lining up a £20 million move for the midfielder, should Aston Villa fail to get promoted this season.
The 22-year-old has been an important player for Aston Villa this season and has been attracting interest from the Foxes. He has scored 3 goals and has 7 assists so far this campaign.
Aston Villa look likely to be playing in the Play-Offs with an automatic promotion spot looking unlikely now. Grealish will be crucial to Villa if they are to make the step back into the Premier League.
Leicester City, on the other hand, will be hoping that Villa stay down as they plot a move for Grealish. They may lose Riyad Mahrez this summer and could potentially see Grealish as a replacement.
Grealish was born in Solihull and joined Aston Villa at the age of six. He was loaned out to Notts County in the 2013/14 season and gained vital first-team experience. On his return to Villa Park, he made his debut against Manchester City in May 2014.
He has since become a key player for Villa and has played over 100 games for them. He is a real fans’ favourite and Villa will be hoping they can see off interest from Leicester in him and old onto him in the summer.
