Millwall, Wolves, Millwall could be priced out of a move for Wolves winger

Millwall could be priced out of a move for Wolves winger

Millwall fear they could be priced out of a move for Wolves winger Ben Marshall in the summer, as per a report by HITC Sport.

The 27-year-old joined the Lions in January and has proven to be an inspired piece of business. He has been a key player in Millwall’s rise into the Play-Off places. They are now very keen on signing him on a permanent basis in the summer.

However, they now fear that they could be priced out of a deal with Wolves expected to increase his transfer fee. There are expected to be other clubs in for him as well and Wolves could higher the original £1 million price tag on him as a result.

Ben Marshall had fallen down the pecking order at Wolves under Nuno Espirito Santo and with them set for a promotion to the Premier League, it is unlikely that he will have a future at Molinuex.

Clubs such as Derby County, Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday were interested in him in January but is Millwall who won the race for him. It will be interesting to see if they try and sign him this summer, though Sunderland will have to be ruled out.

Marshall has genuine quality at this level and has been a hit at Millwall. Their fans will be hoping that they can snap him up in the summer, but they will face competition.
