West Bromwich Albion are in the hunt for a new manager after sacking Alan Pardew. They are rock-bottom of the Premier League and look set for a relegation to the Championship. Here are 3 managers from the second tier who they could target-
Dean Smith- The current Brentford boss has done a decent job with the Bees in the Championship. He has them well organised at the back and has some good player going forward who make Brentford a threat to any team in the league. He knows the Championship very well and has been linked with a switch to West Brom. He was born in West Bromwich and the Baggies are his home-town club. Prior to joining Brentford, Smith was the manager of League One side Walsall and he did a great job with them as well. He deserves a shot at a bigger club.
Chris Wilder- Although it would be unlikely for him to leave Sheffield United, Chris Wilder would be perfect for West Brom next season. He guided the Blades to the League One title last season and has got them on the brink of the Play-Offs in the Championship as it stands. It would be interesting to see him manage a club with more of an expectation of promotion.
Lee Johnson- He has done a decent job with Bristol City over the past couple of seasons and is another who West Brom should target. He has his Robins side just outside the Play-Offs at the moment and got them to the League Cup semi-final this season. He is still only 36 and has a bright managerial future ahead of him, he would be a very shrewd appointment by the Baggies.
